Tiree Music Festival (TMF) has been putting the finishing touches to its imminent 15th edition, revealing the latest artists to join its sold-out line up, alongside a packed programme of island events and experiences.

With thousands preparing to descend on the Inner Hebridean island from Friday 10 – Sunday 12 July, TMF has announced that it will welcome acts including country singer Riley, Britain’s Got Talent accordion sensation RuMac, and sought-after folk act RURA, to the bill.

The award-winning Hebridean beachfront festival will also see electro-trad outfit Mec Lir, high-energy Gaelic group DLÙ, MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards 2025 Up and Coming Act of the Year Dàna, Lochaber’s brother-led group Scotstown Dance Band and Fife singer songwriter Robyn Smith perform.

These bright lights in Scotland’s burgeoning trad scene will take to the festival’s Elevate Stage, which, with support from The National Lottery through Creative Scotland, offers a prominent and important platform for emerging artists.

With indie, country, folk and roots talent all represented across the bill, returning favourites include Tiree’s own Gunna Sound, acclaimed musician and broadcaster Gary Innes, Glasgow singer songwriter Maria McAveety and Fèis Phàislig’s Cèilidh Trail group, who impressed audiences when they made their TMF debut last year.

The spirit of the festival will extend across the island with Donnie ‘Maroot’ MacLeod’s Care for a Ceilidh programme bringing live music to the nearby Tigh a Rhuba Care home, ensuring everyone on Tiree can benefit from and enjoy the festival.

TMF has also become known for its packed programme of fringe events which show off the very best of the island’s culture and landscape.

Visitors can enjoy everything from seafront saunas, beach yoga and watersports including kayaking and surfing, to Gaelic singing, film screenings and tours of Tyree distillery.

The latest talent added to the TMF 2026 bill join a host of headline names including Tide Lines, Peat & Diesel, Skerryvore, Skipinnish, Dougie MacLean, Sharon Shannon, The Laurettes and The Eves, with more surprises for the festival’s 15th year celebrations still to be announced.

Astonishingly, TMF started as a 600-capacity event in a community hall car park and is now a multi-award-winning event welcoming 2,300 from around the world to the shores of Tiree each year.

Daniel Gillespie, Co-founder and Artistic Director of Tiree Music Festival, said: “Everyone is feeling so proud to be Scottish this summer and our festival really reflects the best of Scotland: incredible warmth, community spirit, humour, and passion – not to mention music rooted in our culture that gives you goosebumps, makes you jump up and down one minute, and shed a tear the next. What more could you want!

“To reach a 15th consecutive sell out is something we’re very proud of and grateful for, particularly at a time when so many events are up against real challenges. Supporting the next generation of Scottish artists has always been a big part of what we do so we’re delighted to have a platform for some of the best emerging acts to showcase their talents once again.

“We genuinely believe we are blessed with one of the most spectacular festival locations in the world and this setting helps us create something very special for audiences. I would encourage all of our visitors to embrace the opportunity to immerse themselves in our island culture. We can’t wait to welcome everyone for a fantastic 15th year.”

TMF 15 takes place on the Isle of Tiree from Friday 10 – Sunday 12 July 2026. The Elevate Stage programme is made possible by The National Lottery through Creative Scotland. Visit www.tireemusicfestival.co.uk.
