On Saturday 5th December, the Lagoon Centre in Paisley hosts Scotland’s biggest night for traditional music. Produced by Hands Up for Trad, the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards recognise the artists, musicians and industry figures shaping Scottish traditional music and culture. This year’s line-up includes Gnoss, Valtos, Sian, Spodo Komodo, Rachel Groves (BBC Radio Scotland Young Trad Musician 2026) and The Paisley Fèis.
The Awards are also the sector’s essential networking night, bringing together artists, producers, venues, festivals, media and cultural policymakers. Public voting generates over 100,000 votes a year across 22 categories, and the ceremony reaches national and international audiences live and on BBC ALBA.
