As part of the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards we have an Album of the Year category (sponsored by Birnam CD). Musicians added their albums from the last 12 months (September 2015 to August 2016) and then in September 2016 we asked our Album panel (20 musicians / industry people) to listen to all the releases and bring it down to 20. | Any more information you would like to tell us? | The band's 8th studio album, the download version reached number 4 in the UK mainstream chart. We've been lucky that despite hard copy CD sales on the way down, it's been our top seller to date. Album is 62 minutes long and has 14 tracks of which 4 are tune sets, 9 are songs (2 Gaelic and 7 English) and 1 a set of Gaelic mouth music. All songs are self composed and all lyrics are included on the CD cover. |
