Abrach Road is the debut album from Fort William duo Abrach, bringing together original Scottish Gaelic and English songwriting with influences from traditional Highland music, folk and rock.

Rooted in Lochaber, the album draws on the people, places and experiences of home, from Gaelic language and culture to ceilidh music, local pubs and the landscape of the West Highlands. Traditional influences and instrumentation including pipes and accordion sit alongside guitars and a more contemporary folk-rock sound.

The album was written, performed and recorded independently by Alistair Weir and Innes MacKintosh. Two of its nine tracks are sung in Gaelic, with Gaelic also featuring elsewhere throughout the record. Songs from the album have received radio play including BBC Radio Scotland’s Travelling Folk and BBC Radio nan Gàidheal.
