We asked Jarad of The Jarad Rowan Band the following questions.
Tell us about yourself
Hailing from The Rhins of Galloway, Jarad Rowan and his band have become one of Scotland’s most exciting live folk/traditional acts, earning a reputation for unforgettable live shows packed with energy, hilarity and singalong anthems.
The Jarad Rowan Band blend the heart of Scottish traditional folk with the craic of today, celebrating the music of Scotland as well as their teuchter re-do’s of 90’s clubland classics.
Whether at a packed festival tent or a village hall, every show is built around creating an atmosphere where audiences don’t just watch, they become part of the show!
Any particular career highlights?
Festivals have played a huge part in the forming of The Jarad Rowan Band, particularly Belladrum Grass Roots stage with a jam packed tent! As well as a sold out annual gig in Lossiemouth Social Club!
Jarad and his band have this year finished their very first tour of UK & Ireland and have just announced a triple headline show alongside The Laurette’s and Torridon at the Glasgow Barrowland for April 2027!
What are your plans for the future?
Jarad & his band are about to record their very first all original album with Wee Studio Records on the Isle of Lewis with it scheduled for release in September next year alongside an album tour.
