We asked Corrie of Corrie Campbell the following questions.
Tell us about yourself
I am an independent PR consultant delivering authentic storytelling to Scottish brands and organisations, with a particular focus on Scotland's incredible cultural and traditional arts sector.
I have worked in marketing and communications for more than 14 years, and I've spent the last seven, in particular, supporting the rise of Scottish traditional music and some of the country's best-loved events, festivals and cultural initiatives.
As an independent communications consultant, I bring agility, integrity and a personal touch to everything I do.
From advising clients on their overall strategy, to helping gain earned media coverage and build a social presence, I am proud to be a trusted PR advisor to events like the Royal National Mòd, Celtic Connections, Tiree Music Festival, Speyfest, Hoolie in the Hydro, and more.
In a nutshell, I help put Scottish culture and traditional music where it should be: on the front pages, in people's feeds and on the map.
I am a CIPR Accredited Public Relations Practitioner, which means I am committed to continual learning, credibility and to working to the highest ethical standards.
Any particular career highlights?
My award-winning PR Campaign for the Royal National Mòd in 2025 was a particular career highlight for me. The event welcomed 10,000 attendees and saw us bag 15 Scottish and Gaelic news TV packages and 10 front pages – including securing a Gaelic takeover of the front page of a Scottish newspaper for the first time ever.
For me, this campaign demonstrated how good media relations has the power to influence cultural attitudes and craft positive narratives around what it means to be Scottish. That's something I was incredibly proud to lead on, and to see recognised within the PR sector itself.
More widely, so much work goes into each event I work on. It's a huge team effort from individuals who put so much into making these festivals or nights a success and ensure people leave with brilliant memories. Every time I step into a venue, a tent, a marquee or a park and see thousands of people having the absolute time of their lives, I can't help but stop and think, "we did this". Taking a moment to savour that is something that always fills me with such pride and will continue to be one of the highlights of my year.
What are your plans for the future?
To keep banging on about Scotland! I will continue telling everyone how brilliant live events are, that our music, our languages and our culture are things we should cherish, but are also there to be lived, breathed and embraced.
There is such a talented, hardworking team of people working behind the scenes in Scottish traditional music, each playing a crucial role in its continued success, so to be a small part of that fills me with great confidence that, despite the many challenges we all face, the future is bright.
