We asked Mohsen of TALISK the following questions.
Tell us about yourself
We’re celebrating our 10 year anniversary as a band this year. We’re primarily from Glasgow and have toured the world playing sell out shows all across Europe, Oz, North America and Asia.
We are just another folk band but we really hit it hard playing our version of what we think that should sound like. We are 4 albums deep and recently have collaborated with the world renowned Gardiner Brothers curating an Irish dance show that we have just taken around the USA.
Why are you involved in Scottish music?
Because it’s the best scene in the world.
Any particular career highlights?
Debuting at Glastonbury this year for one and then teaming up with the Gardiner Brothers to form Unleashed that we launched across America this year making a show we’re very proud of. Close to home I’m assuming our O2 Academy gig in Glasgow will be right up there as well.
What are your plans for the future?
Eventually get full time jobs…
I joke but aye we have a big change in music coming with something we are getting prepared to record that’ll be launched next year as well as pushing Unleashed all over the place. Basically a whole lot of time on the road leading us ultimately to an early grave!
