Tell us about yourself
Our Story
The Ceilidh Collective love to ceilidh — they’ve been doing it for years and don’t plan on stopping any time soon.
ceilidhcollective.co.uk

With professional experience in weddings, parties, corporate events and special occasions, they bring an energetic, contemporary mix of instruments that will have everyone dancing.

Where We’ve Travelled
They’ve played at venues across Scotland — for weddings and anniversaries, birthday celebrations, fundraisers/charity events, festive get‑togethers, award ceremonies, corporate gatherings — and they’re happy to travel further afield if needed.

Why are you involved in Scottish music?
ll members of Ceilidh Collective have grown through the Scottish traditional music scene — from Strathspey and Reel Societies to accordion and fiddle festivals, and much more. Encouraged by musical parents from a young age, we’ve been immersed in traditional music for as long as we can remember. Over the years, we’ve thrived within the scene and are now proud to be recognised as one of the leading ceilidh bands in the north-east of Scotland, performing at weddings, events, and parties.

Our recent broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland’s Take The Floor was a fantastic opportunity to share our music with a wider audience across the world, showcasing what the band is all about and the kind of vibrant, authentic sound we create.

Any particular career highlights?
Performing at top venues across Scotland – playing at some of the most prestigious venues for weddings, corporate functions, and private events.

BBC Radio Scotland “Take The Floor” appearance – being featured on this national radio programme is a significant recognition of our musical talent and contribution to Scottish traditional music.

Supporting charities and local non-profits – a core highlight of our career is helping charities maximise fundraising potential, making a tangible difference to local communities while performing.

Longstanding presence in the Scottish Traditional Music scene – years of experience performing at a wide variety of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions.

What are your plans for the future?
Ceilidh Collective’s plan for the future is simple yet ambitious: to continue what they do best — bringing people together through energetic, inclusive ceilidh music — and to keep sharing their music across Scotland. Whether performing at weddings, functions, or charitable events, they aim to maintain their commitment to quality entertainment, community engagement, and supporting local causes, ensuring their music continues to delight audiences while making a positive impact.
