We asked Jarad of Jarad Rowan the following questions.
Tell us about yourself
Scots Singer/Songwriter from Stranraer.
Why are you involved in Scottish music?
My upbringing and the memories I associate with Scots and Trad is a huge part of why it is so important to me today. Performing in Scots feels like I’m able to connect and revisit countless wee memories that not just I feel when I sing the old tunes, but those listening can feel too!
Any particular career highlights?
Finishing the recording of my debut album in Wee Studio on The Isle of Lewis while I could see the sun setting with a wee dram in my hand.
What are your plans for the future?
Taking a wee bit of Andy Stewart to TRNSMT is on the bucket list, that’s daft craic
