Tell us about yourself
Eden Court is Scotland’s largest multi-arts centre! 150,000 tickets sold each year to live events right in the heart of Inverness.

With 350 live performances and 175 productions annually, Eden Court offers everything from the best live music, comedy and smash-hit musicals to classical, ballet and innovative dramas.
Eden Court’s Under Canvas summer music festival celebrates Highland culture. 8,000 visitors enjoy performances from over 170 talented Scottish artists every year by the banks of the River Ness.
Why are you involved in Scottish music?
At Eden Court, Scottish music is at the heart of Eden Court’s programme, celebrating our rich cultural heritage and connecting our community through the power of music.
Eden Court is proud to provide a platform for both traditional and contemporary folk music all year round, with a special focus at their summer festival Under Canvas, showcasing over 170 incredible Scottish artists.
Eden Court believes that supporting Scottish music enriches our cultural landscape, strengthens our community ties and inspires future generations of musicians with a dedication to providing a platform for established music legends, firebrand new bands and emerging local talent!
Eden Court believes in the universal language of music, which they celebrate in all its forms with a commitment to showcasing Scottish talent – bringing a vibrant energy and fantastic audiences to the venue.
Any particular career highlights?
In the past year, trad and folk highlights of Eden Court’s programme has included the boundless energy of Mànran, FARA’S exquisite Orcadian harmonies, the storytelling prowess of Eddi Reader, theatrical flair and lyrical brilliance with internationally acclaimed songwriting legend Rufus Wainwright, Ceol’s rich blend of traditional melodies, FitkinWall Harpland’s infectious rhythms and even Hollywood legend Russell Crowe exploring his Highland routes and sharing his music with a rapturous audience.
Eden Court also celebrated the joy of communal music with the Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail, welcomed back masters of the craft Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham, while James Yorkston’s Tae Sup Wi’ a Fifer visits combined storytelling and song in a series of uniquely engaging experiences. Under Canvas, Eden Court’s annual summer trad festival, drew 8,000 visitors, showcasing the incredible talent of 170 Scottish artists.
What are your plans for the future?
Eden Court will continue to embrace our stages and spaces as a vibrant platform for traditional music, providing artists with valuable opportunities to grow and connect.
Eden Court aims to create enriching experiences for audiences, bringing them together to revel in the magic of live performance at Inverness’s premiere music venue.
