We asked Andy of Andy Steven the following questions.

Tell us about yourself
I’ve been working in the Scottish entertainment industry as a lighting tech since the early 90’s, starting at the CCA working for the late great Bob Pringle, then CPE, The Arches, SMLighting. Currently freelance mostly for SML and LD for The Peatbog Faeries and The Proclaimers.

Why are you involved in Scottish music?
I’ve always loved Scottish music and have never really felt the desire to live/work anywhere else.

Any particular career highlights?
All the Heb Celt Festivals I’ve worked at.
Sold out Hydro show with The Proclaimers.
The film The Wife with Glenn Close and Jonathan Pryce.
Lighting my favourite band The Trashcan Sinatras.
Any Peatbogs gig.

What are your plans for the future?
I’d love to carry on doing what I’m doing for as long as I can get away with it and avoid getting a real job.
