We asked Robert Robertson of Tide Lines the following questions.
Tell us about yourself
We are a four piece band, all from rural Scotland, and we formed in the summer of 2016 with the release of our debut single, ‘Far Side Of The World’. Since then, we’ve self-released an album and an EP (primarily of our own material) and are currently coming to the end of working on our second album. This video is for our latest single, Heroes, which will feature on the album.
Why are you involved in Scottish music?
Our sound is now more on the pop side of things; but, having been brought up with Gaelic music from a young age, we can’t imagine ever producing music that isn’t in some way lyrically and musically inspired by that tradition.
Any particular career highlights?
Our recent sell out Barrowlands show in November definitely feels like a highlight. As well as some lovely festival headline slots back up in the Highlands last summer such as The Gathering, HebCelt, and Tiree Music Festival.
What are your plans for the future?
New album coming out next year…
