MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards 2018: Partick Folk Club

November 6, 2018 By simon

Congratulations to Partick Folk Club who have been nominated in Club of the Year sponsored by Trac Scotland in the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards 2018. Vote now!

We asked Gavin Livingstone of Partick Folk Club the following questions.

Tell us about yourself
Monthly club (last Friday of the month) held in St Peter's Church Hall, 66 Chancellor Street, Partick, Glasgow G11 5PS. Guests every month except July (singers' evening). Run by Gavin Livingstone, Claire Livingstone, Bobby Gillan and Jim King (MC). Welcoming audience, great residents and always great banter. Top quality guests and a professional approach to sound, lights and presentation make for a great evening.

Why are you involved in Scottish music?
We are all enthusiasts, some with many years of performing, with the aim of providing a welcoming atmosphere for both audience and guests.

Any particular career highlights?
Every artist we put on is a highlight!

What are your plans for the future?
To continue to bring the best of the folk world to the club.
