Temple Records are very pleased to announce that on 13th August 2014, Battlefield Band’s song ‘Bagpipe Music’ was named as the Vox Pop winner in the ‘World Traditional Song’ Category at the 13th Independent Music Awards. The song is the opening track on their recent ‘Room Enough For All’ album, and is based on the great poem by Louis MacNeice. The Vox Pop award winners are selected by public vote – this year’s winners include Suzzy Roche, Lucy Wainwright Roche, Pierre Bensusan and the late great Pete Seeger – and this is the second time Battlefield Band has been honoured, having previously won in the same category in 2012.
