The MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards Album of the Year sponsored by Birnam CD has changed! Rather than everyone suggest and then vote for 4 albums of the year we have decided to make a longlist in October (20 albums) and a shortlist in November of 10 albums. The 10 albums will be chosen by the public and a panel – the same panel that chose the longlist from all the albums released this last 12 months. The longlist is below. Click on the links to read more about them. You can vote for them here (as well as nominate all your other favourite artists and organisations).
