We asked GloWorm of GloWormRecording the following questions.
Tell us about yourself
We are a high end, multi-room studio complex in Glasgow City Centre; a creative space equipped with everything you need to make an amazing recording.
We adopt a model that supports a wide pool of freelance engineers and producers.
We believe in bringing a fresh, inclusive and supportive culture to our local music scene, as well as serving as a destination studio for artists from all over the globe.
Why are you involved in Scottish music?
We are big believers in collaboration, and what better scene to be focusing on than the Scottish one?!
Any particular career highlights?
We are constantly working closely with lots of artists, in many different genres and on lots of projects.. Highlight moments are seeing engineers, producers and musicians we support thrive and do well with the material they record here at GloWorm!
What are your plans for the future?
We are constantly adapting and growing our facilities to suit the needs of the local scene… for example, we’ve just integrated our smaller mix suite into the bigger one, so you can achieve the quality of the larger room, but from a smaller, more affordable setup.. I guess we’ll continue to work this way, hoping this approach continues to support great musical output in Scotland!
