We asked Chris of Chris Waite the following questions.
Tell us about yourself
I’m a studio engineer based out of Grans House Studio in South Lanarkshire focussing primarily in mixing and mastering.
Why are you involved in Scottish music?
I have played the pipes since the age of 9 and was introduced to receding at Plockton music school where I spent hours in the studio exploring sound and avoiding my maths homework.
Any particular career highlights?
Getting to hear new music before anyone else and getting to work for bands I have always listened to.
What are your plans for the future?
To stop the over-editing of recorded folk music.
