We asked Sean Cousins of Hò-rò the following questions.

Tell us about yourself
Hailing from the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Hò-rò have quickly become ones to watch on the Scottish music scene. Their unique energetic tune arrangements and vibrant stage presence have had people dancing in venues across Scotland. They released their Debut Album in the summer of 2016, which has proven very successful.
Hò-rò were winners of the 'Danny Kyle award' at Celtic Connections and the 'One Step Further' at the Hebridean Celtic Festival in 2014, since then they have taken off and performed at festivals across Scotland and Europe.

Why are you involved in Scottish music?
We are very passionate about keeping our tradition alive and learning, Playing and sharing tunes with other musicians in the Scottish music scene. Scottish music is a very social scene, We enjoy creating and performing alongside other musical friends. and of course meeting new people through our music.

Any particular career highlights?
Particular highlights for us would be getting to perform at Cambridge Folk Festival and Festival Interceltique De Lorient. Two world renowned festivals that we have always aspired to play at! We were blown away by the reaction we received at both festivals. it was better than we could have ever imagined

What are your plans for the future?
We plan to expand our touring territory, we are working on new material to add to our set next summer. Overall just continue to grow and learn as a band and of course enjoy playing to crowds both in Scotland and across the world.
