Itchy Coo wis foondit in 2002 and for twinty year has been led by twa makars, James Robertson and Matthew Fitt. Wi ower eichty books on its backleet, Itchy Coo's new title The Itchy Coo Book o Aesop's Fables is a collection o braw Scots translations o Michael Murpurgo's retellin o the classic tales. A wheen o kenspeckle names lent their talent and smeddum tae this book, amang them Elaine C. Smith, Kathleen Jamie, Sanjeev Kohl, Liam McIlvanney, Sheena Blackhall, Billy Kay, Lari Don, Hamish MacDonald, Gerda Stevenson, Thomas Clark, Susi Briggs, Ross Sayers, Ashley Douglas, Shane Strachan, Alison Miller, Laura Barbour, Gregor Steele and Laureen Johnson. Itchy Coo wis prood tae hae a translation fae new Scots writer Millie-Jess McIntyre on her publishin debut.
