September 27th 2019 will see the first ever Scots Language Awards with the aim of heightening the profile and promoting the Scots language to the public and media. We have so many fantastic writers, educators, performers, publishers already working in Scots language that Hands Up for Trad feel it is time to start an awards ceremony so we can celebrate everyone involved in the language. It is also important that we recognise the people who work with Scots language to ensure that it remains relevant and vibrant and continues to be spoken by the next generation of Scots.
The first Awards will be held in Glasgow on September 27th with the aim of taking the awards around Scotland in future years. To nominate your favourite part of Scots language please click here.
