AyePodcast 63 – Scottish Music Podcast

July 7, 2010 By test

Here’s our July 7th 2010 Foot Stompin’ Free Scottish Music Podcast.  For this edition we’re at Tinto Summer School in Wiston, South Lanarkshire. Tinto is residential youth school where young people from 12-18 come along and learn trad music from some of Scotland’s top musicians. We asked some of the kids and staff to pick their favourite tracks for the podcast.

We start of the show with the Peatbog Faeries What Men Deserve to Lose followed by Between Two Worlds by Paul McKenna Band. Next up is The McCalmans’ Don’t Sit On My Jimmy Shands and Bottlenecks and Armbreakers by Session A9. Our penultimate track is from Ewan Robertson’s  Some Kind of Certaintyand we finish off with Synergy by Deaf Shepherd. Visit www.footstompin.com for all your Scottish music and culture needs.
