I went up to the Tolbooth last night to hear Aidan O’Rourke’s latest project with with renowned organist and piano player Kit Downes and author James Robertson. I wasn’t really sure what I was going to be listening to but what an amazing night! Aidan’s music was inspired by James Robertson’s book of 365 Stories (365 stories written in 2013) and the music was thoughtful and beautiful and the narratives read by James (and band) fitted in perfectly. It was just a fabulous watching and listening experience. I really hope more people get the opportunity to go and hear this gig and you can because they’re on tour!
