Young People To Grow Their Own Music Sessions Across Scotland

Some places are still available for young musicians to have the opportunity to grow a programme of traditional music sessions in their local area.

The Traditional Music & Song Association of Scotland (TMSA) is looking for groups of three individuals (aged 18-26) who can organise, promote and lead sessions between September-December 2018 in a local venue.

Thanks to funding from The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Youth Talent Development Fund, which is being administered by Creative Scotland, musicians will receive financial support to host approximately ten sessions in their area as well as a bursary to participate in training with leading musicians in the field.

We are also happy to hear from any venues or groups that would like to support a trio of young people in a local session programme.

Please apply as soon as possible through the dedicated project website – www.gyoms.org.uk before all the places get taken up!
