Are you interested in learning how to write a musical? Come along to our writing workshop with our Artistic Director, David Greig.
Join playwright David Greig and get the chance to explore our World Premiere production of Local Hero in this writing workshop. Using music as inspiration participants will get the chance to work with a David and develop their writing skills. Participants will also get the chance to learn about our Artistic Director’s key ideas when writing and programming as well as gaining an insight into the process behind Local Hero.
Participants are encouraged to bring along a song of their choice to the workshop. Preferably with lyrics.
David Greig is an award winning playwright and has been described in the Daily Telegraph as ‘one of the most interesting and adventurous British dramatists of his generation’. His most notable plays have been performed for audiences of The National Theatre of Scotland, The Traverse Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company and The West End.
This workshop will be held at the Lyceum Theatre on Saturday 27th April 2019 from 2pm – 4.30pm. This workshop is Suitable for all ages 14+.
