WOMEX 2026 will take place from 21-25 October in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain.
This year, Creative Scotland are offering one bursary of £1250. This is considered a contribution towards registration, travel & accommodation costs which will be booked by the applicant themselves.
Who can apply?
- Applicants should be individuals or organisations working in or with artists in traditional, folk, roots, jazz, or global music in Scotland and/or Scotland’s indigenous languages.
- Applicants must be currently resident in Scotland
- Applicants must be first or second-time attendees at WOMEX or engaging with the event in a new capacity from previous attendance.
Please note- organisations in receipt of Multi-Year Funding are not eligible to apply.
