This is an exciting opportunity from WHɎTE!
We are seeking an experienced VJ or video artist to help to develop and deliver the visual aspect of our live performances at the Edinburgh Fringe 2017.
‘Fairich: Live’ is an immersive audio-visual experience by Gaelic electronica duo WHɎTE. Our album, Fairich, released in October 2016, contains new arrangements of rarely-heard 17th and 18th century Gaelic songs as well as original compositions, and has drawn comparisons with the likes of Sigur Rós and Martyn Bennett.
‘Fairich: Live’ will run for 9 dates: 14th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th August. The shows will take place in the 99-seater auditorium of the Scottish Storytelling Centre (http://www.tracscotland.org/scottish-storytelling-centre).
We are looking someone to work closely with us to develop visuals which are related to the key themes and images of our songs and which can be combined with our existing material. There will be opportunities to see and hear our live performances during our upcoming Scottish tour. Details here: www.whytenoise.co.uk/live. Video of a recent live performance (featuring video projection) can also be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/my_videos?o=U
There is a fee of £1000 to be paid in 2 instalments.
To apply, please send your CV along with 3 examples of your recent work to WHɎTE at: info@whytenoise.co.uk
