Violin Teacher (St Mary’s Music School, Edinburgh)

A highly motivated and experienced violin teacher is required to teach around 2 days per week from September 2018.

St Mary’s Music School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced violin teacher. Teaching mainly First-Study pupils throughout the school from P5 to S6 (ages 9-19), the successful candidate will have a proven track-record of teaching at a high level.

They will work closely with other instrumental staff, to share good practice and help in the implementation of the Departmental Improvement Plan. Good communication skills, a certain amount of flexibility and an ability to work as part of a busy team are key. This is a permanent post of around 2 days per week initially, with the potential to grow.

The school is also presently looking to fill the position of Chamber Music Coordinator (a little more than half-a-day per week), although it should be noted this is an independent role to the post being advertised here; expressions of interest will however be welcomed.

The post of Violin Teacher is available from September 2018.

Location: Edinburgh City
