We are looking for a Traditional Arts Officer to join our Place, Partnership and Communities Team, and support Creative Scotland’s work in this area. You will join an energetic and dedicated team who are focussed on supporting the arts in Scotland.
The Traditional Arts Officer will work collaboratively with a range of colleagues, partners, organisations and individuals to help create the environment for the traditional arts to thrive. You will assess and make recommendations on a range of funding applications and proposals as well as lead several different projects.
Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of the traditional arts across different art forms and experience of working within, or supporting the development of, the traditional arts including within a Gaelic or Scots context. You should be able to demonstrate your ability to work closely and communicate effectively with a range of external partners at various levels.
Strong interpersonal skills and team working, the ability to develop and establish partnerships both at home and abroad, and a commitment to our core values are all essential. An overview of the arts, screen and creative industries in Scotland would be advantageous.
