UK artists will be able to apply for financial support to help with touring costs. The Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) has launched the UK Artist Touring (UKAT) Fund, designed to support anyone who’s experienced financial shortfall or may do so from touring this year. Eligible artists can apply to receive up to £7,000 or a maximum of 40 percent of total tour expenditure. The fund is open to artists of all genres, and individuals from marginalised communities are encouraged to apply.
By plugging genuine shortfalls and de-risking touring, the FAC’s UK Artist Touring (UKAT) fund, developed in partnership with the Music Managers Forum and the Musicians’ Union and backed by the LIVE Trust, aims to protect the UK’s cultural infrastructure, deliver renewed vitality in the grassroots, strengthen the pipeline of future talent, and ensure that genre, regional and cultural diversity can flourish while also supporting the development of new and existing audiences, so music can thrive sustainably across the UK.
