Theatre Gu Leòr launches STARAN, a new development initiative, with a series of workshops at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for actors and artists working in Gaelic, providing a rare opportunity to train with experts and develop professional skills.

Step dancing in a contemporary context | Sophie Stephenson
Building on the basic steps, participants will explore how the traditional art of step dancing might be used in a contemporary theatre context. Participants will be encouraged to experiment with the creative and rhythmical possibilities.

Complete Vocal Technique | Michael Hill
Participants will learn to understand and control their voice and avoid vocal fatigue while reaching their full potential. Complete Vocal Technique is a scientific approach, based on 25 years of research at the CVT Institute in Copenhagen.

Script development and dramaturgy | Màiri Sìne Campbell and Lynda Radley
Working with award winning playwright and dramaturg Lynda Radley and writer Màiri Sìne Campbell participants will explore a new Gaelic text and gain a unique insight into the crucial script development process.
