Chamber Music Scotland has launched the next round of its Small Venues Touring Fund to support Scotland-based musicians and ensembles tour small venues across the country in 2027.
Supported by Creative Scotland, the Small Venues Touring Fund will distribute grants of up to £5000 to cover performance fees.
The fund aims to:
– Support musicians in creating their own tours
– Platform quality and innovation within chamber music in Scotland
– Allow musicians to decide where and what they play
– Support tours rather than ‘one-off’ performances
– Platform for new, innovative and experimental chamber music.
– Reach new chamber music audiences and communities where access to arts experiences may be limited
– Ensure appropriate rates of pay
