Rock Choir, the UK’s leading contemporary choir, is looking for a musician to join its team of Choir Leaders and launch new choirs across the Scottish Borders, including Peebles, Galashiels, Hawick and Kelso.
As these are brand-new choirs, there’s flexibility around scheduling. Choirs typically run on weekday evenings (Monday to Thursday), but since these groups are just starting, the successful candidate can agree days and times that fit around their existing commitments. The only requirement is running a minimum of three choirs a week.
Rock Choir is looking for someone confident singing while accompanying themselves on piano, who enjoys inspiring others and is excited by the chance to build a thriving musical community. Full training and ongoing support are provided, making it a good fit for musicians looking to combine teaching, performing and community music. Rock Choir currently has around 100 professional musicians working as Choir Leaders, some newly joined and others leading choirs for over 20 years.
