You will study instrumental techniques through listening and practical exercises and learn various devices for developing musical material. There will be opportunities to work with an ensemble on musical repertoire.

Throughout the course, you will expand your knowledge of instruments and their capabilities i.e. how to orchestrate for different sizes and combinations of instruments, considering form, style and roles. You will also learn from RCS staff who are experts in this field.
