Youth Arts Music Practitioners Directors & Assistant Directors NYCOS is looking for music practitioners to work on a Youth Music Initiative programme in East Lothian Council in 2022.
About the role
We will be providing after-school progressive singing sessions aimed at Primary 3-7 based on the NYCOS Kodály methodology, in partnership with East Lothian Council. There will be 10 sessions starting after Easter Holidays 2022, in various locations across East Lothian.
Learning content will be planned by the practitioners and will incorporate consolidating a foundation of musicianship in addition to expanding attendee’s repertoire and skills. The sessions will culminate in performances at end of June 2022.
We require Directors and Assistant Directors to run singing sessions for up to 5 days a week, for two hours per day (flexible) for 10 weeks (excluding the Easter Holidays). Post holders would be required to work additional hours for the end of term concerts in week 11. Practitioners will be supported by our Director of Creative Learning Lucinda Geoghegan. All members of the team will require to be members of the PVG Scheme.
