Trinity College London is one of the world’s leading examination boards, offering exams in the performing and creative arts and in English Language in more than 60 countries. Established in 1877, we are known and respected for the wide range and content of our syllabuses as well as our ability to provide first class care and support to our student, teacher and customer communities.
Our current Local Area Representative, Alison Bell, has decided to stand down after eleven years of service, and so we wish to engage the services of a new Local Area Representative to organise and promote examinations in music across Aberdeenshire. This covers all classical and jazz instruments as well as the Trinity Rock & Pop syllabus.
The Representative’s duties include:
• raising awareness of Trinity’s exams in the local musical community
• collecting entries and processing payments
• enrolling candidates on Trinity’s IT system
• arranging suitable venues for exams
• producing timetables for examinations
• communicating with applicants and candidates
• arranging stewarding on the day of exams
• distributing marks and certificates
• assisting with local promotion of Trinity’s music exams
• being a point of contact for teachers and candidates seeking further information
Trinity representatives are at the heart of their local community and enjoy regular contact with students, parents, teachers, schools and examiners. They ensure that exam experiences are supportive, encouraging and enjoyable and their contribution to music education is truly vital.
This is a freelance position, remunerated through a percentage commission of entry fees and the main contacts will be operationally with Trinity’s Coordinator for Scotland, and strategically with Trinity’s UK Business Development team.
