Aberdeen Performing Arts Creative Learning team provide outstanding community and youth music programmes for all ages across Aberdeen city and shire.
With the creation of our new studio in the redeveloped and reimagined Music Hall, we are planning to grow our creative engagement and participation opportunities.
Looking forward to 2019, we are seeking a Music Development Coordinator to play a key role in developing, coordinating and delivering these music programmes. The successful candidate will manage a team of experienced freelance practitioners, facilitate our community choir rehearsals, deliver youth music classes, and work with the team to plan and manage cross art-form projects, programmes, festivals and events. Responsible for the administration of the programme, you will maximise and extend participation and attendance.
This is a permanent, full-time post, which we may also consider as a job share position for the right candidates.
This is the perfect opportunity for a passionate educator with a love of music and the performing arts. You will have experience in music development in an arts organisation or similar, experience of working with children and young people, and have a fantastic communication and organisational style.
Evening and weekend work is required to deliver this role in our venues and in the local community. Salary circa £22,000.
