We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic leader to join the Museums team. As Museum Services Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily running of St Cecilia’s Hall Concert Room & Music Museum as well as access programmes across art, musical instrument and other Museum collections.
You will inspire and lead the team to deliver both academic and community engagement programmes including exhibitions at the Main Library and Centre for Research Collections.
You will aim to delivery high quality visitor services while ensuring service excellence, maintaining Museum Accreditation and increasing already high visitor satisfaction scores.
Experience in line management is essential together with experience of achieving results in multiple fast paced environments.
This post is offered on a full time, fixed-term basis for 3 years.

Main Responsibilities
1. Manage the Museums Services team, overseeing both the Museums Collection Team (collections management and access) and Engagement Team responsible for effective management of Museum collections, including collections management, documentation, loans etc to Museum Accreditation standards, and both academic and community engagement programmes including the Main Library and CRC exhibitions programme.
2. Oversee daily running of St Cecilia’s Hall, co-ordinating staff in conjunction with the curator-on-duty; liaising with all current and future users, stakeholders and partners while delivering a high quality visitor services and ensuring service excellence.
3. Collate and analyse MI relating to visitor numbers, profiles, advertising, visitor feedback etc and make recommendations for improvements; maintain visitor services information database; work with CAM to implement and develop SCH Marketing Plan including website updates, social media, external publications, talks etc.
4. Maintain income targets and seek new ways in which SCH can increase and diversify income streams, including project development and retail opportunities, to support SCH future sustainability.
5. Contribute to strategic planning to support University and ISG objectives.
