Are you a fan of Mark Knopfler and wondered what it might be like to create music for the stage? Come along to our Musical Direction workshop to find out more.
Music has become a key part of Lyceum productions over the past few seasons, so join one of our musical theatre professionals to explore how music is used within theatre. Participants will explore key music ideas within contemporary theatre and the growing trend of actor-musicians. This workshop will also offer an insight into our World Premiere production of Local Hero. This workshop is designed to suit everyone, from people with very little musical experience, to those with a good knowledge of music. Participants are encouraged to bring along any instruments they may play.
This workshop will be led by Music Director, Gary Cameron. A highly skilled and experienced Musical Director and Composer, Gary has been working with some of the best and most highly regarded theatre companies in the country such as Dundee Rep, Capital Theatres, Edinburgh Playhouse, Royal Lyceum Theatre and The National Theatre of Scotland.
This workshop will be held at the Lyceum Theatre on Saturday 30th March 2019 from 10am-4.30pm. It is Suitable for all ages 14+
