RCS are looking to appoint an experienced and passionate lecturer specialising in Traditional Music to deliver elements of our BMus programme for 2-3 days a week.
They’re looking for a Traditional Music specialist of high standing with significant proven professional, teaching and research experience who will inspire our existing students and attract new ones by creating an excellent student experience. You are highly motivated, dynamic and someone who thrives in a demanding, intense yet passionate educational environment.
You must have: a degree and/or relevant professional experience in music as a performer and teacher, excellent communication skills and an interest in the development of young people’s potential, along with knowledge and experience of arts education. Being able to communicate well with staff and students alike is essential. You will have a deep knowledge of your specialist subject area, the Higher Education sector, contemporary teaching methods and be enthusiastic in communicating your expertise to students.
