Hebrides Ensemble, based in Scotland, is a collective of world-class musicians from the UK and Europe, renowned for its quality of performance, commitment to new music, and diversity of repertoire from across the contemporary and classical music genres. We promote two or three concert tours per year, encompassing chamber music, music theatre and chamber opera, in addition to performing around 20 concerts promoted by major festivals and venues. Our education and digital programmes bring participants and audiences to the ensemble’s work from all over the world.
Hebrides Ensemble now requires ambitious arts professionals with experience in any combination of Marketing, Communications, Concerts Management and Administration to join our busy team. We will provide professional training and skills development as part of these roles so that you can keep learning on the job. In return, we’re looking for enthusiasm, curiosity, creativity and commitment to the Hebrides Ensemble team. The posts will suit arts professionals with 2 or 3 years of experience, perhaps with a passion for communicating in print, online and in person, or with exceptional attention to detail and a real interest in ensuring our events run like clockwork. If you have experience in any of these areas, we’d like to hear from you.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, and working as part of a small freelance team, the posts would suit flexible self-starters, working for 2 or 3 days per week or if you are an exceptional all-rounder, it could be a full-time job. All roles will require people who are organised and proactive, with excellent attention to detail, the ability to work to tight deadlines, flair and imagination. Role-specific criteria are detailed on our website. We are interested in hearing what you can bring to the organisation and how you see yourself fitting in.
Fees or salaries: Dependant on scope of role and experience. In the area of £18k-£26k pro rata.
Please apply in writing to Jennifer Martin, Chief Executive, outlining your particular skills, experience and how you see yourself fitting in to our team, and include a copy of your CV.
If you would like to chat first, please email Jennifer to arrange a time for a call.
