Live Music Now is the foremost outreach scheme for young professional musicians working with a wide range of audiences throughout the UK.
It has two aims:
– To promote the experience of live music amongst people who would not normally have access to it, especially those whose lives are restricted by disability, poverty, isolation or illness;
– To support outstanding emerging professional musicians in the early stages of their careers by giving them a variety of paid performing opportunities and training
Live Music Now Scotland puts on 650 – 700 events each year throughout the country and internationally, delivered by a pool of around 120 emerging artists working in small ensembles across a range of genres eg classical, traditional, jazz.
The LMN Scotland Director has overall responsibility for the strategic development of the branch, fundraising, financial management and overseeing of its day-to-day activities, as well as leading on LMN UK’s international development. The General Manager will report to the LMN Scotland Director in support of the successful continuing development of the branch and the running of its activities.
The General Manager will be part of a small, close-working team who work in separate locations. In addition to the full-time Director, there is a 2 days pw Project Manager/Admin Support, part-time Finance Administrator, Press/Marketing Officer and Individual Giving Officer.
