Freelance music group leader (Hear My Music)

Hear My Music are looking for a community musician to deliver music sessions once a week for a group of adults who have Additional Support Needs.
Hours:

Mondays, 12.30 – 14.00
Project length: Nine months

Start date: 23/10/17

End date: 25/06/18

Pay: £60 per session

Location: Crofthead Community Centre, Livingston

Project description:

Hear My Music delivers music sessions for MUSAC (Musically Active Dudes), an organisation based in West Lothian which provides dance and music classes for adults with Additional Support Needs. The small, participant-led music class is delivered by Hear My Music and runs once a week over 3 terms throughout the year.
Hear My Music has been delivering these sessions for 3 years and the class is well-attended and loved by participants and their carers alike.
The session offers access to music for every participant to suit their specific needs and involves singing, percussion, and composition.
The classes seek to improve self-confidence, health and wellbeing, communication and creative expression.

Location: Edinburgh City, Falkirk, Glasgow City, Stirling, West Lothian
