Scotland’s largest rural performing arts festival is seeking artists and promoters based in, or with connections to, Dumfries and Galloway to take part in next year’s Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival, which takes place between 26 May and 4 June 2017.
The call-out is intentionally broad as we want to leave as much freedom as possible for artists to be involved in the programme.
Within the region
We are seeking events that reflect the culture of D&G – We are looking to support D&G based performing artists and promoters to stage ambitious arts event, that reflect their own creative ambitions. The intention is to show the region’s performing arts community at its best.
Without the region – As a borderland region, D&G has much in common with, and much that separates it from, its neighbours in Scotland, North of England, Ireland and Isle of Man. We are looking for performing arts events that explore and or celebrate the connections, similarities and differences with our neighbours.
Events should seek an underwrite of between £500-£3000
Similar opportunities are also open to young promoters, artists and youth organisations in our young persons’ guarantee scheme.
