A new fund to support museums taking part in local events or festivals
Museums Galleries Scotland has launched a new fund aimed at supporting museums with up to £1500 of the costs of staging an event that is part of a wider local or regional event programme or festival. The fund ultimately encourages museums to form relationships with broader arts, tourism or commercial organisations regionally and more broadly. This fund will not support individual museums to initiate isolated events.
Any organisation that runs an Accredited museum in Scotland can apply.
There are four deadlines this year, and the application is available year-round. Events that are awarded funding must take place within 8 months of receiving their award. All grants must be claimed within two months of the event taking place.
