What a huge privilege it was to be invited to be part of the team at Distil 2012. To be surrounded by such creativity, talent and musicianship, yoked to deep soul and integrity was special indeed.
And then there were the magnificent walks, the beautiful pool, the steam room, the bar and the sessions therein, the one-on-ones and group workshops. Oh, and the dancing! It was a very beautiful retreat and I am hugely grateful for such a nourishing time with such lovely people.
Distil was like a gift to me in turbulent and unsecure artistical times. Musicians from all over the world can meet, sit, talk, jam and exhange ideas and knowledge as equals and inspire each other deeply. The location, the staff and the nature contributed to the depth of this experience. My Scottish/Englisch colleagues have made this such a beautiful and spiritual experience. Looking forward to exchange and work together some more in the near future.
