Development Officer- Performing Arts (East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure)

Eastwood Park Theatre has developed an exciting new plan to present more professional performances, to engage with wider professional networks and to bring a fantastic range of culture and creativity to our customers both in the theatre setting and across the community.

The main focus of this role is:
-To schedule a professional theatre programme for the residents of East Renfrewshire.
-To plan, develop and oversee performing arts and community arts projects/programmes, raise funding for such projects and generate local interest and/or involvement in the music, drama and dance. -Deliver the Cultural Development strategy and develop arts activity, in conjunction with colleagues in visual arts, library development, heritage and sports.
-Build a strong reputation, consistent quality programming and harness opportunities to develop performing arts activity.

Experience of arts development, working with communities, fundraising, building professional theatre, dance and/or music networks and working across other departments i.e. marketing, operations and other services will be an advantage.

This role is maternity cover – initially for 6 months.

Salary £27,538 – £31,005 per year
