Creative Funding Information Session (Aberdeen City Council)

Aberdeen City Council’s 2017/18 Creative Funding programme is open to application from March 2nd 2017.

The Council is committed to supporting the development of arts, culture and creativity in the city. Whether it’s the intrinsic value of being creative or the social, educational and economic benefits of cultural activity and events, its important role in our everyday lives is clear and recognised.

To support this development, the Creative Funding Scheme offers cultural organisations, community groups, charities and individual artists or creatives the opportunity to apply for support from £2,000 (Individuals) up to £15,000 (organisations) to develop and/or deliver creative activity.

What is the event?
To help first time applicants we will be hosting this free informal event which will provide an opportunity for organisations and artists who are interested in applying to find out more about the process and meet with members of the Council’s Culture Team who manage the funding scheme.

The event will cover the application process, criteria and eligibility, tips and checklist for submitting an application, walk through the application and guidelines as well as an opportunity to ask questions and network with other creatives, groups and organisations.

Who is it for?
The event is tailored for organisation and individuals who are considering applying to the Creative Funding scheme for the first time or who have been unsuccessful in previous applications.

Wednesday 15th March
6:00PM -7:30PM
Seventeen, Belmont Street Aberdeen, AB10 1JR

Why are we running it?
We are seeking to ‘demystify’ the application process, highlight common application errors and how to avoid them. Participants should leave the event with a greater understanding of the funding process and feel more confident in considering an application.
