Bolt FM is a radio station for young people, by young people. Based in the communities of North-East Glasgow we have been actively training and broadcasting young people for over 16 years and are excited to announce our annual March FM broadcast.
Over 10 days, from the 8th to the 17th, Bolt FM will be broadcasting live from Glasgow entirely with talented young people. We are committed to giving as many young people as possible an opportunity to broadcast with Bolt FM and invite you to take a slot in our schedule.
Bolt FM has interviewed Nicola Sturgeon, built a radio studio in Zambia and broadcast from the Commonwealth Games. Whether you want to play the best new music or discuss the issues that matter to you, we welcome all ideas and will work with you to make them a success.
We are ideally looking for those young people with an increased availability over this period, those who can take some afternoon or late night slots and bring their creativity and energy to their chosen show.
We will broadcast primarily from our radio studio in Blackhill/Provanmill, north-east Glasgow. We will also be broadcasting from schools and local centres in the area to get as many voices on the air as possible.
If you have experience that’s great but don’t worry if you don’t, we can provide training, all we are looking for is passion for radio and the will to have a go.
If you would like an opportunity to present or produce for Bolt FM please email your request with the following details:
-Name
-Age
-Availability
-A short show description (with preferred slot length)
-A demo (if available)
We will get back to you to confirm that we have received your request, with a following email to be issued when the schedule has been finalised.
