Beyond Borders is a funding scheme which allows organisations across the UK and Republic of Ireland to collaborate on music-led projects. Projects can include repeat performances of music written in the past five years, new commissions, touring and recordings. Funding of up to £15,000 per project is available. The deadline is 23 February 2017, with decisions announced in early April.
The programme stimulates collaboration between organisations and music creators in England, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and enables music creators to produce exceptional new material to be performed in at least three of these countries.
Projects previously supported by Beyond Borders have spanned all musical genre, and have included other artforms such as film.
Beyond Borders is run by PRS for Music Foundation, in partnership with Creative Scotland, Arts Council of Wales, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Arts Council of Ireland/An Chomhairle Ealaíon. Please note that projects awarded funding from Beyond Borders will not be eligible to apply for partnership funding from Creative Scotland’s Open Project Fund for the same project. This is because Beyond Borders is already supported through the Open Project Fund.
