Following seller feedback on the new EU customs small parcel duty, Bandcamp has introduced a new setting that lets sellers disable shipping to the EU on a per shipping origin basis.
What it does
Sellers who ship from multiple locations can now turn off EU shipping for specific origins while keeping it active for others. For example, an artist shipping from both the US and an EU-based warehouse can disable EU shipping for the US origin and continue fulfilling EU orders from the EU warehouse only.
This is useful for sellers who:
- Don’t have access to a DDP or PDDP carrier in their shipping region
- Ship from multiple origins and want EU orders fulfilled from a specific location only
What buyers see
If a buyer in the EU tries to check out with an item that can’t be shipped from any active origin, they’ll see a message letting them know the item can’t be shipped to their region.
How to set it up
- Go to Edit Profile
- Select the shipping origin to update
- Check the box that reads “Do not ship to the European Union”
EU shipping can be re-enabled for any origin at any time.
